Faith Build 2026
What is Faith Build? - Since our beginning in 1976, Habitat has been built on a foundation of faith, and as an ecumenical Christian organization, Habitat invites people of all faiths and no faith to join us and support our mission. As Habitat for Humanity strives to achieve equitable, livable, and resilient communities, we have an opportunity to engage faith communities and leverage faith relationships to maximize our impact.
Faith communities such as churches, synagogues, and mosques are prominent partners in affordable housing and community development. Faith engagement is the effort to mobilize local faith communities to support Habitat’s work.
Why participate in Faith Build? - At Habitat, we welcome the diversity of faith groups that are reflective of our local communities, including all worldviews and faith traditions, to contribute to our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Many feel called to the work of Habitat as a response to faith and recognize Habitat as an opportunity to put their faith and love into action. Most of the world’s religions emphasize the value of service and practice the Golden Rule. We have an opportunity to build on these common values and bring diverse groups of people together for a common purpose through faith engagement.
